Work where the model has to be right at 3am

Treadum builds software that changes what a tire plant does, on a product where failure is a safety event. If you want your work measured in scrap avoided and escapes prevented rather than in engagement metrics, this is the place.

What makes this work different

Physical consequences

Your model’s output becomes a setpoint on a press. That constraint makes the engineering culture careful in a way that is genuinely rare.

Data nobody else has

Linked genealogy from compound batch to final grade, with imagery, telemetry and human overrides attached. It is the most interesting industrial dataset we know of.

Domain experts in the room

You will defend your work in front of process engineers with decades on these lines. They will be right often. That is the fastest learning environment there is.

Short loop to reality

Ship on Tuesday, see it in a shift report on Thursday, hear about it from an operator on Friday.

Autonomy, earned

We do not ship confidence. We ship gates, evidence and rollback. Engineers who like that constraint tend to thrive here.

Small team, big surface

Perception, control, simulation, edge systems, security and evidence — all in one product, with very little bureaucracy between them.

Where we need people now

Treadum closed a $1.5M seed round backed by 99SA Ventures, and these are the first roles it funds. We will always tell you where a role actually stands before you invest time in a process.

Autonomy · Amsterdam or remote (EU)

Senior Perception Engineer

Own defect sensing across vision, X-ray and shearography: fusion, localization and the false-hold rate that gates every deployment.

Apply

Autonomy · on-site rotation

Process Control Engineer (Curing)

Build cure-state estimation and adaptive dwell control, and defend it in front of process engineers who have run these presses for twenty years.

Apply

Platform · Amsterdam or remote (EU)

Edge Systems Engineer

Jetson-class runtime, Triton and NIM serving, signed bundles, version pinning and rollback that works during a night shift.

Apply

Field · travel-heavy

Forward-Deployed Engineer

Live inside customer plants: land connectors, run baselines, sit in on override reviews and bring the truth back to engineering.

Apply

Autonomy · Amsterdam

Simulation Engineer (Digital Twin)

Build the as-built tire and line twin: builders, presses, molds, conveyors, robots and the WIP behaviour that decides takt.

Apply

Trust · remote (EU/US)

Quality Systems Lead

Own the evidence chain: IATF 16949, DOT and UNECE mappings, audit exports and the non-conformance workflow.

Apply

Go-to-market · EU or US

Enterprise Account Executive

Sell a paid pilot to a plant director on a hard metric, then expand cell by cell. No dashboard demos.

Apply

Trust · remote (EU)

Security Engineer

OT segmentation, tenant isolation, supply-chain signing and the security pack that survives a tire group’s procurement review.

What applying looks like

No take-homes that waste a weekend

We run a short, honest process: an intro call, a technical conversation about work you have actually done, a paid work session on a real problem, and a conversation with a design-partner engineer where you get to interrogate us.

  • Intro call — 30 minutes, mutual fit and role reality
  • Technical conversation — your past work, in depth
  • Paid work session — a real problem, scoped to four hours
  • Partner conversation — meet a plant engineer, ask hard questions

Operating norms

Weekly model review

Overrides, false holds and gate progress reviewed every week with customer engineers present. It is the most important meeting in the company.

Everyone goes to a plant

Every engineer spends time on a floor in their first quarter. You cannot build this well from a description.

Decisions are written

Design decisions, gate criteria and post-incident reports are written documents, not meetings that evaporate.

Remote with rotations

EU-remote friendly with regular on-site rotations. Field roles travel heavily by design.

Real ownership

Meaningful equity for early team members, with transparent terms explained before an offer, not after.

What your first quarter looks like

01Week 1Run the simulator, ship a small change, read the envelope reference end to end.
02Weeks 2–4Sit in on override reviews and shadow a design-partner engineer through a full shift.
03Weeks 5–8Own a component: a defect family, a connector, a gate metric or an agent surface.
04Weeks 9–12Take something you own from shadow to assist at a real site, with the gate evidence to prove it.
05OngoingKeep a plant relationship. Everyone here has one.

What partners say about our team

“We had three people watching X-ray images and still shipped uniformity rejects. Treadum flagged the cord shift at the building drum, not four hours later at final inspection.”

Ilse VandermeerPlant Director, passenger radial plant [PLACEHOLDER]

“The cure agent found 40 seconds of margin on a construction we had run the same way for eleven years. It proved it in shadow mode before it touched a press.”

Rahul MenonPrincipal Process Engineer, truck & bus radial [PLACEHOLDER]

“Genealogy is the part I did not expect to care about. Every tire now has a linked record from batch to grade, and audit prep went from weeks to an afternoon.”

Camille DuarteQuality Systems Manager, IATF 16949 site [PLACEHOLDER]

Before you apply

No, and most of the team will not have it. You do need genuine curiosity about physical processes and the humility to be corrected by someone who has run the line for twenty years.

EU-remote friendly, with regular on-site rotations. Field roles are travel-heavy by design. If you never want to stand next to a curing press, this is not the right company.

Treadum has raised a $1.5M seed round backed by 99SA Ventures, which funds the founding engineering and field team. We will tell you exactly where things stand on the first call rather than after four rounds of interviews.

Yes. Send what you have built and which part of the loop interests you. Specific beats generic every time.

Put one cell on autonomy in 90 days

Pick one wedge — splice inspection, X-ray defect detection, cure-state optimization or uniformity prediction. We baseline it, run shadow mode, then graduate to bounded autonomy under a signed control envelope.

Pilots start in shadow mode. No line changes until accuracy and safety gates pass.
